Weather-Related Impacts
As a result of active lightning strikes and severe thunderstorm warnings in the area at the 2022 Des Moines Challenge, all play was suspended at 2:30 PM CT on Friday. After assessing the situation on the ground, the Pro Tour staff was suspended on Friday based on a review of weather patterns. As long as the weather conditions Saturday morning are acceptable within the DGPT inclement weather policy, play will resume at 7:00 AM CT. All players who did not complete round 1 will resume where they left off. Round 2 will begin one hour later than scheduled for both FPO and MPO as a result of the delay.
NOTE: Due to the suspension of play on Friday and associated timing considerations, all MPO players will compete in the same groups for round 2 as they did for round 1.
Changes to Broadcast Schedule
Due to the suspension of play on Friday, August 19th, a combined (MPO RD1 + FPO RD2) live coverage is projected to begin at 8:00 AM CT on Saturday. The broadcast will focus on MPO RD1 feature cards until the FPO chase and lead cards tee off at 10:30 AM at which point the broadcast will cover both FPO and MPO (as in years past) until the MPO groups have finished. Then the broadcast will follow the end of FPO RD2.
The MPO RD3 live broadcast will begin at 4:30 PM CT on Saturday, August 20th.
